Formed as a partnership between Cox Enterprises, Inc.
and Landmark Communications, Trader Publishing Company
has developed and operated a nationwide network of
classified publications since 1991.

From the very beginning, Trader Publishing Company
has dedicated itself to the pursuit of a business
strategy that seeks to bring buyers and sellers together
through the creation of efficient media solutions.
In Print
Trader Publishing Company’s first classified publications
included Trading Post, Wheels and Deals, and Auto
Trader. Through acquisitions and startups, it expanded
the product line, establishing Trader Publishing Company
as the nation’s preeminent vehicle and general classified
advertising publisher. Today, publication offerings

To provide distribution for these free titles into
grocery stores and other high traffic areas, Trader
acquired National Media Systems, now Trader Distribution
Services, in 1998.
Continuing to expand, in 2000, Trader acquired United
Advertising Publications, Inc., the nation’s foremost
publisher of real estate magazines, apartment guides,
and parenting publications including Harmon Homes,
For Rent, and Parenting.
On the Web
Over the course of the past 5 years, Trader has also
broadened its offerings, initiating a move to include
not only print but also Internet media. Trader Publishing

The Employment Media Group:
A Leader in Recruitment Advertising
The Employment Media Group (EMG), a division
of Trader Publishing Company, provides a coordinated
portfolio of recruitment advertising mediums
across the nation. Beginning with the acquisition
of the first Employment Guide, located in
Detroit, Michigan, in 1991, Trader successfully
extended its print advertising publications
to 59 markets.
Trader now has the nations largest collection
of freely distributed publications. Todays
Careers (collegiate edition) attracts college
graduates nationwide and includes specialized
medical and diversity editions. Today's Nurse and HealthCareerGuide, EMG's newest products, focus on the needs and careers intrest of healthcare professionals across the country Published in
the Midwest, Todays Nurse attends to nurses
