Assistant Director of Nursing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Las Cruces Nursing Center, a 120 skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing high quality nursing care is searching for an RN to be our Assistant Director of Nursing!
Las Cruces Nursing Center is located at 2029 Sagecrest Ct. Las Cruces NM 88001.

About the Opportunity
The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in the overall management of the Department of Nursing. Responsible for the orientation and continuing education of all nursing staff.

Essential Functions (summary):
Assists in ensuring quality nursing care to all patients/residents.
Supports and practices the philosophy, nursing objectives and standards of the Department of Nursing.
Ensures that the nursing department is adequately staffed to provide quality care to patients/residents.
Acts as DON in the absence of DON.

REQUIREMENTS:

•Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator. Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
•RN with unencumbered license to practice as an RN.
•Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required.
•Three to five years experience in a supervisory capacity with at least one year experience in long term care
