Shower / Laundry and Clothing Repair Specialist


 


Laundry and Textile Specialists are primarily responsible for supervising and performing laundry, shower, personnel, and clothing decontamination functions.

Some of your duties as a Laundry and Textile Specialist may include:



  • Receive bulk, individual, or organizational laundry

  • Review laundry lists for accuracy of bundle count or contents of individual laundry bag

  • Segregate, mark washable, and unwashable items

  • Operate mobile laundry system, shower units, light duty sewing machine and associated equipment

  • Inspect tally, mark, tag, and segregate webbed items

  • Alter size, repair uniforms, and zippers

  • Operate and maintain sewing, darning, and button machines
