Claims auditor jobs involve analyzing and reviewing insurance claims for accuracy, comprehensiveness, and eligibility. In addition, these workers are responsible for maintaining records and report for claims they have processed or reviewed. Claims auditor jobs often involve ensuring that the proper accounting and documentation has been provided when a claim is submitted. In some cases, these workers may help to resolve or reconcile any discrepancies they find with the claims they review. Claims auditing jobs do not require a set education or degree background. Most employers prefer to higher college graduates; although, in many instances a high school diploma will suffice for entry level work. Advancement is typically obtained after accumulating experience.
