The PPG Circleville, Ohio Plant is the company's center for resin production. Our sophisticated polymer resins are used in PPG paint-making plants from North America to China and are compounded into an assortment of finishes serving different markets, but primarily the automotive market. The primary purpose of the Resin Specialist is to reduce Sub Standard Product Loss (SSPL) by providing technical guidance to cationic and resin production Operators, monitors batch processes on the production floor, provides process troubleshooting, error proofs batch logs & other processes, and provides supplementing training by giving new Operators/Finishers process training while on shift. This position also monitors and records key process parameters and costs batch logs to assist the process engineers. The Resin Specialist will provide coverage for Resin/Cationic Shift Supervisor vacancies.
Experience and Education
Possesses a high school education or its equivalent and have 10 years manufacturing plant operations experience. Candidate must successfully pass the PPG Supervisor Assessment process
Functional and Technical Skills
Must be knowledgeable of chemical manufacturing processing equipment and processes; have a high degree of organization skills; proven results to train and develop others; and proven results to troubleshoot process problems.
