Remington Park Racing Casino is hiring for a Seasonal Silk's Host / Hostess job in Oklahoma City,OK
- Greets and welcomes guests to the dining room.
- Escorts and provides seating in appropriate areas to ensure dining room staff is not overloaded.
- Provides direction to Servers and Bus staff as needed to ensure stations and tables are cleaned and ready to accept new guests.
- At regular times will be required to move tables and chairs to set area for guests.
- Relieves Cashier as may be required throughout the shift.
- Follows all dining room operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
- Requires knowledge, skills, and experience in dining room management, decision-making, problem solving, complaint resolution, and customer service.
- Notifies appropriate staff members when assistance is needed.
- Demonstrates an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
- High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical school or formal apprenticeship may be required.
- One to two years of work experience in job dealing in person and on the telephone directly with guests would be preferable.
- Requires the knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computers, point of sale systems, credit card/players club card systems, cash, etc.
- Must be knowledgeable in food and beverage sanitation, guest service, cash control policies, practices, and protocols.
- Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
