Speech & Language Pathologist - Pediatric - (SLP - Peds - Pedi)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $43.00 - 45.50

Acute Care Hospital is looking for a highly motivated and energetic SLP to join the team in their Acute Care Unit. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive and professional environment

Speech/language pathologists work with patients who are suffering from, or are prone to, disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. In order to address patients’ needs, the speech/language pathologist develops individualized plans that take into account the patient’s needs, progress, and eventual discharge plans. They may also work in a number of specialties, including:


  • Acute
  • Home health
  • Long-term care
  • Outpatient
  • Pediatric
  • Psychiatry
  • Rehabilitation
  • School


Required Qualifications
" 1-2 years of professional experience in NICU, PICU, dysphagia and feeding skills with medically complex pediatric populations
" Provide medical-based speech-language pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment of speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders within a diverse population.
" Ability to work with medically complex patients in the inpatient/outpatient settings.
" NICU Level 4 experience is preferred as well as experience completing NICU Modified Barium Swallow Studies.
" Must have strong computer skills and quickly adapt to a fast pace high acuity setting
