Our Education, Training and Development Department located in Costa Mesa, has a great opportunity for someone to join our dynamic group. We are looking for an Insurance Service Trainer. The purpose of the position is to deliver education and training of customer service, AAA business systems & technology, processes, and best practices to newly hired call center employees and for both new and incumbent call center staff. Assist with product and technology introductions to the phone centers. Assignments will include development of presentations and online content, conducting web conferences, facilitating classroom training and delivering presentations. Classes are conducted for new and existing employees in the Member Service Center and Policy Management Group. Day shift, swing shift and occasional weekends are typical.The scope of this job requires travel nationwide for up to 2-6 weeks at a time to support our expanding infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

  • Educating newly hired employees in both technical skills and product knowledge primarily in classroom settings

  • Delivering education to new and incumbent MSC and PMG employees

  • Developing, establishing and conducting virtual classes via web conference tools

  • Learning the unique skills necessary to effectively deliver education via this venue

  • Developing presentations for classroom and web conferences using adult learning methods

  • Consistently updating management on progress of new employee development

  • Effectively manage travel and other expenses, completing all monthly reports on time

  • Possess the ability to assimilate new information quickly

  • Use creativity to enhance classroom education and presentation materials

  • Be flexible when priorities and projects suddenly change

  • Articulate and utilize proper grammar in daily conversation and development of written materials

  • Convey pride in their work and maintain a professional appearance

  • Possess presentation skills in facilitating classes and leading discussions for both small and large groups

  • Excel in one-on-one coaching and tutoring

  • Demonstrate ability to be a productive member in a team setting

  • Demonstrates initiative to enhance knowledge and skill levels

  • Take initiative to persevere in pursuit of critical information and in seeing projects through to completion


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Experience in presenting material to diverse groups

  • Experience in development of education materials

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at hand

  • Customer service orientation essential, customer service experience required

  • Basic Excel and Access skills preferred

  • Intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills preferred

  • Advanced Outlook skills preferred

  • Use of personal vehicle and good driving record required

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Willing to relocate for advancement opportunities
