Under the management of a major hospital system this location specializes in services that include cardiology, chronic conditions management, and neuro-interventional radiology. Located in beautiful Redwood City, this medical center includes our hospital and several outpatient facilities. Only 27 miles from downtown San Francisco, Redwood City offers Theater, music, dance, cultural arts, and more make this an inviting community for the entire region. The House Supervisor will support the hospital units as the on-site administrative designee for the facility. This candidate will ensure that the staff provides the highest quality of care and are in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local requirements. Coordinates and monitors staffing for all shifts and maintains appropriate staffing levels and skill mix.



A house supervisor is a nurse responsible for overseeing the nursing unit staff and assisting with administrative duties. House supervisor nurses have a variety of duties, including:

  • Coordinate patient services and nursing staff levels
  • Prepare reports
  • Enforce policies
  • Maintain patient and personnel satisfaction. These experienced nurses also collaborate with other hospital staff members in hopes of establishing and maintaining a consistent standard of service and care.

    Required Qualifications
    BLS and ACLS certifications
    House Supervisor or Supervisory experience within an acute care environment
