We are the only level 1 pediatric and adult trauma center for a 4.5 state region as such we do a large volume of orthopedics. Having said this we also have a vast array of other services we do that are not orthopedic. We do not do knee replacements and very infrequent hip replacements. There are many other services that have a vast variety of cases such as Spine, Vascular, Thoracics, Craniofacial, Burns, General surgery, Opthalmology, ENT, Neurosurgical.
The role of the perioperative nurse / operating room nurse (OR RN) is to provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery or surgical procedures. The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant or operating room director with additional training. Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Perioperative nurses work in every type of healthcare facility, including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers, and physician offices.
WA RN license.
2 years in OR scrub and circulate required.
Trauma level 1 experience required. **MUST**
Strong prefers- completed at least 2 traveling assignments
Electro Neuro Diagnostic Tech II (min 1 yr experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring, CNIM credential from ABRET)
