Wasserstrom Company is hiring for a Fabricator job in Columbus,OH

Great compensation :  $12 and up/hour B.O.E.

N. Wasserstrom & Sons is looking for seven people with a can-do attitude and an aptitude for assembling items to become Fabricators on second shift at our Columbus, OH location. As a Fabricator, you will assemble sheet metal component parts to build complex products used in the food service industry by performing the following:

  • Assemble production equipment according to customer specifications through assembly of parts and components outlined in our drawings and specifications.
  • Prior to assembly, sand, de-burr, wash and clean large castings, weldments and assorted parts.
  • Assist in checking components against bill of materials (BOM) to assure all parts are accounted for.
  • Using blue prints, drawings, or sketches, completes subassemblies with minimal or no supervision to specified tolerances.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES  

  • Ability to work with cordless/pneumatic and basic hand tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch.
  • Ability to add and subtract fractions.
  • Ability to TIG weld.
  • Ability to understand and work with build documents and basic drawings.
  • Attention to detail and group problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
    

    High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. See level descriptions for additional details.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS   

  • Medium to Heavy Work - Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 35 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to walk.
  • Must be able to see close up and also at a distance.
  • Must be able to talk and hear.


WORKING CONDITIONS   

  • Manufacturing environment may cause exposure to heat, noise, vibration, odors or dust.
  • Ambient temperatures.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level is usually moderate but may be severe at times.
