As a member of our Optum Corporate Development team, this position would put you at the forefront of a number of merger and acquisition transactions and Strategic growth initiatives, providing extensive exposure to Executive and Senior Leadership throughout our organization and also to senior management of M&A Targets, Partners, and customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • M&A transaction process
  • Assist in Identifying, communicating and validating key strategic rationale and risks
  • M&A Senior Associates prepare and review financial models (DCF, LBO, three statement models, financial bridges) and other complex analyses, as well as actively participate / lead financial and operational due diligence
 
 

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Accounting (with strong grade point average)
  • 3 or more years of comparable work experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Advisory, or Corporate Development
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of valuation methodologies and financial statement analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of M&A due diligence
  • Leadership experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to Travel when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CFA and/or CPA designations
  • MBA
  • Healthcare experience
